Why Use a Fuel Additive?

Over the last few years we have noticed a change in the quality of the kerosene that is put into your oil tank. As a result we have experienced a higher number of fuel related breakdowns to include:

• Sooting up of boilers;
• Carboning up of nozzles;
• Seizures of oil pumps;
• Early carboning of vaporising appliances (Aga Cookers etc…)

These issues cause un-necessary breakdowns that cost the customer money and inconvenience.

Although there are premium fuels around that can overcome some of these issues, this can be as much as 6 pence per litre more.

At Barton Oil Burner Services Limited we have been in talks with Exocet Fuel Solutions and can now offer two types of fuel additive to help resolve the current situation, helping reduce breakdowns and early servicing issues.

We recommend that you use one of our fuel additives with every fill up of heating oil. We sell these products in either 200ml or 1 litre bottles.
